MMP@ LuxePack 2019 – Luxury with Green Impact

From September 30 to October 2, 2019 MMP was represented at LuxePack at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. The focus of this leading exhibition lay on packaging for high-quality luxury products, such as perfumes, cosmetics and spirits. This year, environmentally friendly packaging and sustainability dominated the presentation and discussion of current trends, in the course of which MMP presented its environmental approach to a broad audience.

Green Impact & Green Metal
MM Packaging considers sustainability aspects right from the planning stage, so that a sustainable folding carton with maximum recyclability can be produced from the sustainable material cartonboard. Starting with the selection of the carton type, up to the processing and finishing of the folding carton, each step pursues one goal: the reduction or even complete substitution of plastic, which is used especially for printing inks, varnishes and foils.

Green Metal describes our sustainability approach, which shows alternatives to conventional PET silver lamination. The aim is to create possibilities for reducing or substituting plastics for metal effects, for example by using biologically metallized cellulose derivative film. We also offer UV inks from organic cultivation or standard green inks to further reduce CO2 emissions.

Green packaging
In the luxury goods segment, the combination of special shapes, colours, printing processes, unique looks and haptics as well as high-quality materials underlines the exclusivity and uniqueness of the products and strengthens the brand – because luxury products deserve the most exclusive packaging. At the same time, the sustainability aspect of high-end products is becoming increasingly important. More consumers than ever demand that the packaging is not only visually appealing, but also complies with ecological principles and can be transferred to a recycling or circular economy.

The next LuxePack will take place from 5 October to 7 October 2020 in Monaco.
