MM Group is proud to announce the latest addition to our ALASKA® product family: ALASKA® PURE. This uncoated, hard sized cartonboard is specifically designed for the food service industry and is produced at MM Kotkamills in Finland. ALASKA® PURE complements our high-quality ALASKA® portfolio and offers a range of unique features that make it an ideal choice for a more sustainable food service packaging.
One of the standout features of ALASKA® PURE is its smooth uncoated surface with a natural feel. This provides excellent flexibility and formability when round shapes or special folds are required, making it an ideal choice for high-performance paper plates production, folded and embossed trays, or double wall sleeves. Additionally, its surface allows the cartonboard to be deep embossed to form plates or trays, enabling thermoforming.
ALASKA® PURE is also certified for dual side direct food contact and contains no intentionally added OBA´s (Optical Brightening Agents), making it safe for food service packaging. Its very good stiffness ensures high strength in the end product, while its home and garden biodegradability and compostability make it a more sustainable option. ALASKA® PURE has approval as a raw material for Nordic Swan Ecolabelled products, ensuring that it meets strict environmental standards. It is produced using 100% renewable fuels.
In addition to its sustainable features, ALASKA® PURE is designed to run on existing machinery, making it an easy and cost-effective choice for food service packaging. It is available in 190 / 225 / 240 / 270 g/m² and comes with recognized certifications for sustainable forest management.
