In the light of a good purpose
Centennial of FS-Karton, Neuss
100 years ago, a cartonboard mill was established in Neuss, Germany. For the last 20 years, it has been part of the MM Group and well-known for its modern machines and highly demanded products. On 9th September, there had been a good reason to celebrate for a good purpose – with a charity concert.
When the cartonboard mill on the river Rhine was founded in 1911, it mainly produced the newly invented folding boxes. After 100 years, the industry is still the same, but more specialized: Due to the great demand, the production focus centres nowadays on Liner qualities –used for the manufacture of high-quality corrugated packaging including microflutes. Since markets currently experience an increasing demand of shelf-ready packaging along with higher requirements also for corrugated cases –FS-Karton Neuss is ready for it. The board machine is the most modern and largest one in Europe for high-grade coated Liner qualities.
On the occasion of the company’s celebrations at the Nordstadt of Neuss, about 700 guests joined in, customers, colleagues and merchants purchased entrance tickets dedicated to a charity: The total proceeds were donated to the “Friends of the Paediatric Clinic” of Neuss.
