MM supports the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul by donating materials
The year 2021 was an eventful one for MM:
Through the acquisition of two plants in Kwidzyn in Poland and in Kotka in Finland, MM increased its virgin fibre cartonboard activities and created attractive potential for development by extending its portfolio of paper products. Since many office materials with the previous logo are still available, they will continue to be used internally for reasons of sustainability and are also being donated to non-profit organisations and charitable projects.
A large part of this was in the form of a material donation to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul – St. Stephan. The staff at the non-profit organisation responsible for VinziRast facilities in Vienna were happy to receive various office supplies, including writing pads, notepads, file covers, ballpoint pens and calculators.
Mr Michael Gröller, member of the VinziRast board, accepted the material donations at the end of 2021:
“Our employees and volunteers need office supplies for their daily work in areas such as administration and management. With the items supplied by MM, we can now provide our colleagues with a wide range of high-quality materials for their valuable work.”
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul – St. Stephan was founded in 2003 and from the beginning has been dedicated to working with the homeless and increasingly with refugees in the last few years. In principle, anyone can volunteer for the societies, regardless of their profession, education or denomination, so that as many resources as possible get to the people in need.
The non-profit organisation responsible for the VinziRast facilities oversees various charitable projects.
These include:
- The VinziRast restaurant in Vienna’s 9th district, where people who were previously homeless can find permanent employment and are supported in the kitchen and service by volunteers.
- The VinziRast emergency shelter, where homeless people can receive a warm meal and a bed for the night.
- The VinziRast CortiHaus in the 12th district, which offers people who were previously homeless a permanent place to live again.
