Sawmill of MM Kotkamills will be closed during Q4 2023

Reasons for the closure are a prolonged period of high raw material prices, the negative development of timber prices as well as the weak market outlook as activities in the construction and building industry continue to be low.
In addition, growing operating costs and significant investment needs on the sawmill operations and buildings have affected the decision.

Now that the sawmill will cease to operate, every effort will be taken to support the redeployment of the sawmill employees. They will be given priority for new and vacant positions in the company.
