Successful Rebuilt of the Rewinder at the Mill Neuss
The strong growth in demand for MM Karton’s liner grades in recent years has made a corresponding increase in the productivity of the rewinder at the mill in Neuss, Germany, necessary. Productivity and product quality are seeing benefits.
The rebuilding of the rewinder at MMK Neuss was successfully completed in late January 2013. After the start-up period, the rewinder is now in smooth operation. Automating the tambour changes enabled a significant improvement in performance. Mayr-Melnhof Karton is now well-prepared to continue growing at a faster rate than the market while guaranteeing delivery reliability and flexibility in order processing. A new spreader roller counteracts possible crinkling and ensures even greater product quality by maintaining a highly constant cartonboard surface.
