MM Karton sells stake in recovered paper companies Papyrus-Group and Parek

Mayr-Melnhof Karton will sell its majority interest in the recovered paper companies Papyrus Group (63.3 % shareholding) and Parek Papierverwertungs Gesellschaft m.b.H. (94.5 % shareholding) after the approval by the antitrust authority and the disposition on the pre-emptive right of the minority shareholders to the Austrian waste management company AVE, Hörsching.

The companies generated sales of approximately EUR 30 million last year.

Mayr-Melnhof thereby continues the focus on its core business, cardboard production and folding carton manufacturing.
