At MM Group, we take our responsibility towards the environment seriously and are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. To achieve this, we have implemented a comprehensive GHG accounting process that includes both our corporate carbon footprint and product carbon footprints.
Our corporate carbon footprint includes all greenhouse gas emissions generated by our operations (Scope 1 & 2) as well as relevant emissions caused along the value chain (Scope 3). We believe that it is important to take a holistic approach to measuring our carbon footprint, as it allows us to identify areas where we can make the most significant reductions.
To quantify the performance of our products, we carry out Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) internally. Our Product Carbon Footprints include greenhouse gas emissions generated during the life-cycle of a product, and we use different LCA methodologies to include life cycle stages (e.g., Cradle-to-Gate). This allows us to identify the carbon footprint of each product and take steps to reduce it.
To ensure the accuracy and credibility of our GHG accounting process, we undergo a final external verification process following ISO 14064-3, 2019. This helps us to identify any areas where we can improve our GHG accounting process and ensure that our carbon footprint is accurately measured and reported.
