MM FollaCell AS
Our Norwegian pulp mill MM FollaCell produces high-quality pulp – BCTMP, CTMP and TMP – from round wood and sawmill chips. The pulp is used for both MM Board & Paper’s virgin fibre and its recycled cartonboard qualities and is also sold on the free market.
MM FollaCell only sources material from sustainable forestry: mainly spruce, pine and birch. Depending on the pulp type, the mill uses 100% softwood or a mixture of softwood and hardwood. MM FollaCell’s location in northern Europe is not only advantageous because the raw material grows close to the mill. Access to the Trondheim Fjord also provides an ideal infrastructure: with its own ice-free harbour, the mill can reliably receive and deliver by ship all year round. The energy required for the mill is mainly sourced from an environmentally friendly hydroelectric power plant located nearby.
