MM KWIDZYN ON RENAMING ITS PACKAGING KRAFT PAPER BRAND TO MM POLAR®

Renaming IPACK® brand as a fundament for further brand improvements and innovations.

The packaging kraft paper market is evolving rapidly, and manufacturers are required to combine high quality with environmental responsibility and a transparent portfolio structure. In this context, MM Kwidzyn is introducing an important change: starting from January 2026, the IPACK® brand is being renamed MM POLAR®, and IPACK® STRONG PRO will become MM POLAR® STRONG. This step is part of a broader strategy to streamline the brand architecture within the MM Group and harmonize product communication.

As Markus Nöcker, the Vice President Sales PKP and UFP for MM Kwidzyn mill, states: ‘The introduction of the MM POLAR® brand goes far beyond a simple name change. It marks the creation of a new umbrella brand that combines the mill’s expertise with a clear vision for future development. A portfolio structure built around MM POLAR® provides a solid framework for expanding the offer and implementing innovations in an organised, sustainable manner that fully aligns with market trends. This serves as a foundation for future solutions that will further strengthen MM Kwidzyn’s position in the kraft paper market.’

MM POLAR® remains the same well-established kraft paper produced at the MM Kwidzyn mill – strong, smooth, and versatile. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including paper bags, food packaging, packaging for dry goods, retail packaging, and flow-pack solutions. Thanks to ISEGA and PZH certifications and compliance with relevant food contact standards, it continues to be a safe and reliable material for the food industry.

For customers, the rebranding brings greater portfolio clarity and easier product selection, while maintaining stable quality and high converting performance – key advantages that have long defined MM Kwidzyn’s offer.

From the mill’s perspective, the transition from IPACK® to MM POLAR® enhances development flexibility and enables faster responses to changing market needs. It represents a step toward conscious, scalable product development fully aligned with the MM Group’s long-term strategy.
