Freshness Labels for the cigarette market, both in manual and automatic formats, provide enhanced opening of and closing functionality of the cigarette pack. These innovative labels also maintain product freshness for longer, helping to improve the consumer experience.

Automatic Label

Automatic opening of the label from the pack via the process of opening the carton hinged lid. The automatic label is stuck to the carton-hinge lid during the pack-forming process. On opening the hinged-lid, the label smoothly removes itself from the foil and reveals the opening window, providing access to the product. After removal of a cigarette, the carton hinged lid can be closed to automatically reposition the label and maintain pack freshness. Filmic finish options are available to complement the product packaging.

Manually Opening

Opening the pack manually via the label. The pack is opened by gripping the unsupported finger tab area, lifting the label to reveal the foil opening window. After removal of a cigarette, the label can be repositioned to seal the pack and maintain freshness. Options are available to create ease of opening, including MM’s patent-pending shrink varnish technology and patented crease/dead-fold finger-tab. Full printed designs can be incorporated on the manual label to promote and complement the customer’s branding.
