MM Kotkamills Oy

The Finnish MM Kotkamills mill specialises in virgin fibre cartonboard (FBB) for food service and other demanding applications, as well as saturating kraft paper (SKP) for high pressure laminates. The mill is the world leader (ABSORBEX® brand) in the production of this specialty material, which is used for example in wall panels, kitchen cabinetry and furniture.

MM Kotkamills’ portfolio of lightweight FBB includes grades with a water-based dispersion barrier against moisture and grease. In many cases, the high-quality virgin fibre board can replace plastic in the end use applications. MM Kotkamills operates on an innovative board machine and a renewed paper machine with a pulp mill at the integrate, which means it uses wood from sustainable sources with high efficiency in the different production like all MM mills, our Finnish mill is dedicated to the circular economy concept and stays true to the motto ‘Accelerating Circularity through Collaboration’.
