MM Board & Paper Advances EUDR Readiness Ahead of Regulation’s Application

MM Board & Paper is preparing its operations, systems and supply chains for the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The regulation will apply to timber and wood-based products from 30 December 2026. Our aim is to provide customers with clear information, reliable documentation and practical support throughout the transition.

Preparing Operations and Supply Chains

Over recent months, MM Board & Paper has been implementing a comprehensive EUDR readiness programme. This includes supply-chain mapping, supplier assessments, due diligence processes and systems for managing EUDR-related information and Due Diligence Statements in line with the regulation requirements.

Close cooperation with suppliers supports the collection, verification and maintenance of the information required under the regulation. Our implementation programme remains on track.

What EUDR Means for MM Board & Paper Products

All MM Board & Paper products containing virgin fibre, including grades that combine virgin and recycled fibres, are covered by our EUDR readiness programme.

How EUDR-related information is provided will depend on the specific product and supply-chain scenario. Where full EUDR information, including geolocation data, is required, it will be made available separately through the osapiens customer portal.

Where Reference Numbers and Verification Numbers need to be transmitted, they will be included in standard business documents such as order confirmations and delivery notes. Where no EUDR information is legally required, these documents will include a corresponding statement explaining the product’s EUDR status.

This approach is designed to help customers access the information relevant to their own EUDR obligations in a clear and structured way. Customers can continue to contact their established MM representative for EUDR-related enquiries, product-specific questions and any necessary coordination.

Products Made Entirely from Recycled Fibre Remain Outside EUDR Scope

Products manufactured entirely from recycled fibre that has completed its life cycle and would otherwise have been discarded as waste are outside the scope of the EUDR. They therefore do not require EUDR Due Diligence Statements, Reference Numbers, Verification Numbers or additional EUDR documentation.

This includes liner products from MM Neuss, which are manufactured from 100% recycled fibre. MM Neuss is FSC® Recycled certified (licence FSC®-C003336), supporting our commitment to responsible sourcing and resource efficiency.

For customers purchasing these grades, no EUDR-related documentation is required for the products concerned.

As the implementation date approaches, transparency and clear communication remain priorities for MM Board & Paper. Updated product and mill-specific information will be made available in the coming months to support customers in understanding the EUDR status of individual grades and applications.
