PE Extrusion Coating

PE extrusion coating is a process used to equip cartonboard with a plastic layer, combining the mechanical properties of the cartonboard with the barrier and sealing properties of plastic. During the process, a thin plastic layer is produced through cooling, which can subsequently be used as an adhesive when laminating two board and/or paper layers together. PE coatings create attractive, glossy surfaces on the substrate, enhancing the visual appeal of the product. This process is commonly used in the packaging industry to create barrier and sealing properties for products that require protection from external factors such as moisture.
