Welcome to “we.invent – Open Innovation”!

Ready to shape the future?

Innovation starts with you!

With we.invent, we invite employees and external partners to share creative ideas that help us develop new products, services, and solutions. Whether it’s a small improvement or a bold vision – your input matters.

MM BOARD & PAPER new product & service ideas

MM PACKAGING new product & service ideas

This MMP idea zone is for submitting and collecting suggestions for new packaging ideas. The focus is on new product and service ideas for MMP, or optimizing existing ones, whether incremental or disruptive.

Open Idea Space

The Open Idea Space is the creative space on our idea platform – an area that is deliberately open to enable ideas that do not fit into any of the existing categories or subject areas. This is about unfiltered creativity, new approaches, and unusual perspectives.

Gamechanger-Zone

The Gamechanger-Zone is for submitting bold, unconventional ideas that have the potential to fundamentally disrupt the current ways of thinking, working, or creating value at MM.

At MM Group, all employees are invited to use we.invent free of charge. As part of our open innovation approach, we also invite partners, suppliers, and customers to use the ideation platform.

To use we.invent, all you need is an MM Microsoft user account. If you don’t have an MM user account, you can use the ideation platform with a temporary license.

You can obtain a temporary license in five easy steps:

  • – Read the confidentiality agreement
  • – Fill out the form
  • – Accept the confidentiality agreement
  • – Submit your application and wait for confirmation
  • – Follow the instructions in the confirmation email to set up your account

For more information and step-by-step instructions, see the “How to gain access to we.invent” section above.

A Challenge is a specifically addressed business problem or topic posted on our we.invent (Edison365) platform to encourage and collect ideas on a particular issue from across the company. Each challenge is timely limited – it has a start and end date during which employees are able to submit ideas related to the challenge topic. Challenges are rewarded, which means that at least the three best ideas submitted on the challenge topic will receive prizes. You can find information about the prizes in the challenge description. Challenges can be open to everyone as well as limited to specific target groups.

We welcome product and service concepts related to our core business—the production and processing of cardboard and paper. Whether it’s new products and services at MM Board & Paper or MM Packaging, creative ideas in the Open Idea Space, or visionary concepts in the Gamechanger Zone—every idea has a place here.

Based on your given information an individual evaluation process for each challenge is carried out. The evaluators of the submitted ideas differ depending on the topic of the challenge – e.g. a MMBP focus challenge will be evaluated by Board & Paper experts rather than Packaging experts. At the end of this process, a decision will be made and you will be informed whether your idea will be pursued further, or not. Our goal is to make smart, well-rounded innovation decisions and ensure every idea gets the attention it deserves.

“IP rights are crucial to our innovation. They provide legal protection for our inventions and incentivize further research and development. They promote our economic development and are a key indicator of our company’s innovative strenght.”

Depending on the type of submission channel, there may be a reward for your submitted idea. In challenges, there are usually prizes for the best ideas. You can find out what these are in the challenge description on the we.invent platform. Channels typically do not offer rewards.
